Blog Post #1: I said I wouldn’t over think it

So why am I over thinking it? As I mentioned in my Bourbon Talk introduction, I said how I wanted to just write what comes to mind. I stayed up incredibly too late last night…all these question marks in my head of what this first blog post should be but I also said I wanted to take you all on this journey, right? Okay, so f*ck it, here it goes.

Are you ready to see inside the life of an aspiring cupcake mastermind? This week has been an important one for this bourbon gal. Not only did I design this entire website (with the help of some brown sugar of course), I am also preparing to launch into a somewhat scary but exciting time with the inner workings of a cupcake subscription service! That’s right cupcake lovers, it’s finally here! Okay, well maybe I’m fast forwarding too much…but I’m on the right track. Consider this your trailer.

What if I told you that you could subscribe to a service that gives you, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 gourmet cupcakes monthly? Ok, so I get that you’re probably thinking.. “why would this excite me? If I want a cupcake I’ll just head to my local grocery store bakery and get one”. But let me ask you something… do they put bourbon in them? Do they get so creative with their flavors you question whether or not it’s too risky of a baking choice? Do you have a hoard of co-workers in your office jumping at the opportunity to eat one? Do you look at it and say, “I just need to post this to my Instagram!” Probably not. And that, my friends, is why I’m doing this. I also gave away so many cupcakes in the last few years that I needed more money, so here we are. Let’s see how many of you show up when it’s no longer free (Just kidding I STILL LOVE YOU but seriously, sign up for cupcakes).

Anyways, this is your preview of the preview. Your wait in line at the amusement park. I will post more details as I figure out the logistics of this soft launch… And hey, if it’s a total flop… I will write about that too. I told you, I’m not holding back.
